1. Link ‘A’ not available for taxing of aircraft with wingspan 80 FT or more due to presence of obstacles on shoulders.
2. Increased bird and animal activities observed all along runway. Extensive dense forest located south of runway. Measures
have been undertaken to reduce threat of birds and animal hit with aircraft. All operators to exercise caution while
arriving and departing from Gorakhpur airfield.
3. Refuelling facility for civil non-scheduled aircraft available subject to prior coordination by the operator with IOC
Gorakhpur.
4. All non-scheduled operators intending to operate flight to/from Kushinagar Airfield (24 NM from Gorakhpur) to note
that Kushinagar Airfield lies within CTR of Gorakhpur. Positive clearance must be obtained from
Telefax: 0551-2745035, Mobile: 9984420506 before commencing such operations.
5. 180 DEG turn on runway to be performed only on concrete portion at both ends of Runway.
6. Tall trees 100 FT to 150 FT height present on the cleared zone from 29 dumbbell to DTGM 3 for RWY 29 at a distance
of 230 FT from runway edge on the south side of Runway.
7. All aircraft routing via W45 between Lucknow and Patna G590 Varanasi to Kathmandu to establish positive R/T contact
with Gorakhpur Tower 128.2 MHz before entering Gorakhpur Local Flying Area VER 75A and VER 75B.
8. Four helipads marked on Parallel Taxi Track (PTT), Helipad-1, 300m from RWY 11 Threshold, Helipad-2 abeam VIP
dispersal, Helipad-3 abeam TWY N and Helipad-4 at 300m short.
9. SRE Available for RWY 11/29:
i. OCA for SRA for RWY 11/29 at Gorakhpur: 640FT.
ii. MHA: 1900 FT.
iii. SRA will be terminated at 1 nm from touchdown.
iv. Advisory altitude based on three DEG glide path will be passed each NM.
v. Missed approach procedure for both RWY 11/29: Climb to 3000FT on QNH on last assigned heading and await further
instructions from radar controller.
vi. RCF Procedure: If unable to proceed visually climb 2500FT on track to Gorakhpur and contact TWR on TWR
frequency 128.2 MHz
