LOCAL AERODROME REGULATIONS

1. All ACFT to exercise caution while exiting Civil Apron from TWY N to avoid exerting excess thrust on ground service equipment parked in eastern side ramp equipment area.

2. Parallel Taxi Track is also being used for Landing and Take-off for fighter class Aircraft. Centre line of Parallel Taxi Track is marked with white broken lines, dimensions are 3M Length, 0.3M Width with spacing of 3M. Taxi exit markings are provided at each link connected with Parallel Taxi Track. Parallel Taxi Track Centre line markings are non standard specifications and not in compliance with ICAO Annex 14. All aircraft to comply with non standard markings for taxi guidance while manoeuvering on Parallel Taxi Track. All airline operator to brief crew to exercise caution on the markings on Parallel Taxi Track. Aircraft on APCH of RWY 10/28 to be cautious and not mistake Parallel Taxi Track as RWY.

3. All aircraft to strictly follow TWY marking to avoid Non Load Bearing drain covers at 28 Dispersal, marked in red and white with yellow border.

AD 2.22

FLIGHT PROCEDURES

1. DEPARTURE PROCEDURE

1.1 Cruising Level shall be notified to Pune tower at least 10 min before pushback call.

 

1.2 Pilot shall complete all mandatory pre departure checks before entering the active runway for departure so that the aircraft is in a position to take off immediately upon receipt of take-off clearance.

 

1.3 When the aircraft is issued with a line up and take-off clearance at taxi holding position it shall be in a position to line up and affect an immediate take off in one continuous movement.

 

1.4 When the aircraft is issued with a takeoff clearance after lining up on the runway, it shall commence take off roll immediately upon receipt of take of clearance.

 

1.5 If the Controller observes a delay in respect of the departing aircraft in commencing its take off run after issuance of take-

off clearance, the take-off clearance will be cancelled and the aircraft be advised to vacate the runways immediately at the nearest taxiway to make way for the subsequent arrival or departure.

 

1.6 Level restrictions for departing traffic: Based on LOA between Mumbai and Pune ATC, the following shall be adhered:

(a) W28 (Westbound Flights): All traffic departing from Pune via W-28 towards Mumbai are generally cleared to climb to FL 80. Further climb above FL80 shall be effected only after achieving positive two-way communication with Mumbai Approach on VHF 127.9 MHz or when explicitly cleared by Pune ATC.

(b) W28 (East bound Flights)/ W-67/ J-2: All traffic departing on given routes are generally cleared to climb to FL 130. Further climb above FL130 shall only be effected after achieving positive two-way communication with Mumbai Approach on VHF133.85 MHz/ 132.7 MHz /125.35 MHz or when explicitly cleared by Pune ATC.

 

1.7 Restrictions due to aerodrome proximity of Danger/Restricted areas around aerodrome:

(a) All departing aircraft from Runway 28 shall climb to at least 5000 Feet before commencing left turn to avoid overflying VAD-19.

(b) Helicopter operations to helipads located within LFA (VAR-37) shall be conducted on prior clearance from Pune ATC.

 

1.8 Direct Routings through VAR-37 (Pune LFA)

(a) Considering the military flying operations, all flights including low level traffic intending to route through VAR-37 shall do so only after achieving prior coordination with Pune ATC.

 

2. ARRIVAL PROCEDURES

2.1 Procedural controlling may be exercised for controllers training during periods of light density traffic. Relevant notice with adequate time will be given on RT and or ATIS.

 

2.2 Arriving aircraft may be given direct routing with prior coordination with Pune.

No aircraft to route direct unless explicitly cleared by Pune ATC.

 

2.3 Arriving VFR flights to obtain prior necessary briefing for levels and routing from Pune Radar.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

1. Glider/Micro light flying activities. Operations restricted to day light.

1.1 Hadapsar Glidrome: 163 DEG/ 7 NM. Area of Ops: 3 NM around gliderdrome up to 5000FT AGL. Not to be over flown below 6000Ft AMSL when gliderdrome is active.

1.2 NDA Khadakwasla: Aerodrome at 232 DEG/ 12NM. Area of Op 10 Km around aerodrome up to 7000 Ft AMSL. Not to be over flown below 8000 FT AMSL when aerodrome is active. Not to be over flown below 5000 FT AMSL when aerodrome is not active.

 

2. Operation readiness Platform is available at the beginning of the runway for parking of fighter aircraft prior to takeoff. All scheduled and non-scheduled aircraft to exercise caution while lining up to ensure jet wake is not directed towards fighter aircrafts to avoid any foreign object damage.

 

3. Rowing Channel with similar orientation is located 291 DEG/4NM, left of approach path for RWY 10. While conducting visual approach for RWY 10, all aircrew to exercise caution for not to wrongly identify it as runway.

 

4. All 180 DEG turns to be executed on concrete portion of RWY only. No 180 DEG turn permitted on flexible surface of RWY by any type of aircraft. All pilot to exercise caution.

 

5. All civil non-sked flights operating to Pune Airport to take positive clearance from Pune ATC and parking clearance from Airports Authority of India. All operators are to strictly comply with.

 

6. Service road across taxiways H, H1 and H2 leads to civil dispersal. Service road crosses across taxiways H, H1 and H2. All aircraft to exercise caution and look out for vehicular traffic while taxing to/from civil dispersal.

 

7. Permanent obstruction. CFT shed on northern shoulder of RWY. Distance 117m from RWY edge and 368m from threshold of RWY 10. Obstruction marked with day obstruction marking only. All pilots to exercise caution while landing/take-off.

White bay markings and white broken TWY centreline marking extend from link R1 to link P1 due operational reasons. Civil and military transport aircraft to exercise caution and follow continuous yellow TWY centerline on link P1. All sked and non-sked aircraft exercise caution while lining up to ensure jet wake is not directed towards parked fighter aircrafts to avoid any foreign object damage.
