1. PUSHBACK PROCEDURES: -

1. AIRCRAFT PARKING AND PUSH BACK PROCEDURES

i. Stand No. 1 to 10 and stand No. 5A & 12 are power in/pushback stands.

ii. Stand No. 11 and 11A are power in/power out stands. The Stand No. 11A is a dependent stand for taxi out. Aircraft from Stand No. 11A can taxi out only when Stand No. 11 is vacant.

iii. When stand No. 5A is occupied by code E aircraft, the aircraft on Stand No. 1 shall be pushed back via taxiway A to the runway.

x. Stand No. 11 is for B737-800W or smaller type of aircraft. Stand No. 11 can be allotted only when Stand No. 11A is vacant. Taxi-in to stand 11 is via stand 11A and aircraft parking is facing SW.

xi. Stand No. 11A is for B737-800 W or smaller type of aircraft and aircraft parking is facing North-Easts. Aircraft to taxi-out from stand 11A via stand No. 11. If Stand No. 11 is occupied, aircraft needs to be pushed back.

xii. Stand No. 12 is for B777-300 ER/B747-400 or lesser type category aircraft and is allotted only when 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 11A are vacant. Aircraft on Stand No. 12 is to be pushed back on to RWY via TWY C only.

ix. Stand 12A for code-E or lesser type of aircraft (wing span less than 65m and length less than 75.5m) and shall be

allotted only when stand 11 and 12 are vacant and stand no.10 is occupied by code-C aircraft. Aircraft to stand 12A

shall taxi-in and pushback to runway via TWY C only.

x. Aircraft from stand no. 1 shall pushback facing west to taxi-out via TWY A and aircraft from stand no.13 shall

pushback facing east or as instructed by ATC.

3. All aircrafts to strictly follow Taxi guidelines for 180 DEG turn on RWY turn pads to avoid damages to the pavement.

xiii. Aircraft on Stand No. 1 to 8 can taxi via Taxiway ‘C’, only when Stand No. 5A & 9 are vacant.

NOTE: Code-E Aircraft require pushback on to the Runway for start-up.

2. The aerodrome is licensed for use in IFR (all weather) condition. Aircraft operator to ensure that pilot in command/flight

crew, operating flights to/from Calicut during night have sufficient experience in terms of flying hours as well as experience

of day operation at Calicut aerodrome. In addition, all approaches in the night must be initiated with an IAL procedure only.

8. SIMPLE TOUCHDOWN ZONE LIGHTS

 

New facility Simple TDZ LGT installed on the RWY at the end of Final TDZ Markings. A Pair of variable White LGT on each side of the RCL Visible from Landing Direction. Pilots are required to familiarize with the new facility to avoid confusion/optical illusion.

8.1 Simple Touchdown Zone lights consist of a pair of lights located on each side of the runway center line, 0.3meters beyond

the upwind edge of the final Touchdown Zone Marking.

8.2 Simple Touchdown Zone Lights are installed at distance of 922.8M from threshold.

8.3 The spacing between the lights of the same pair is 1.5M.

8.4 The lateral spacing between the inner lights of the two pairs of lights is 18M.

8.5 The colour of Simple Touchdown Zone Lights is variable white.

8.6 Simple Touchdown Zone Lights are unidirectional inset lights facing an approaching aircraft.

8.7 Simple Touchdown Zone Lights are linked with HIRL system.

8.8 Simple Touchdown Zone Lights will be available only when runway lights are switched ON.

8.9 Intensity control is possible along with HIRL system only.

8.10 During VMC, Simple Touchdown Zone Lights will not be available.

8.11 All Runway Markings are available.
