i. All helicopters operating within 15 NM from Mumbai shall remain in contact with Juhu except when overflying, landing or departing from Mumbai.

ii. All helicopters outbound may squawk 2100 beyond 15 NM from Mumbai and all helicopters inbound may squawk 2000 up to 15 NM. All helicopters shall switch off transponders when operation within 15 NM of Mumbai.

iii. All departures towards Helipads/aerodromes to south east of Mumbai (e.g. Pune) shall be cleared to route via Karnala (185254N 0730705E) & all inbound helicopters shall be cleared to route via Panvel (185940N 0730650E).

iv. All arrivals inbound to join K routes should be descended to altitude of the K route it is joining by 15 NM. For e.g. a helicopter inbound from Pune to DAKC should be descended to 700 FT whereas that to Mahalaxmi should be descended to 500 FT.

Similarly, a departure from Mahalaxmi to Pune should be cleared to maintain 700 FT till 15 NM whereas departure from DAKC to Pune should be cleared to maintain 500 FT.

v. All departures towards helipads/aerodromes to north east of Mumbai (e.g. Shirdi, Nasik, Aurangabad etc.) shall be cleared to route via Powai Lake and Thane (1911N 07300E) at 500 FT and all inbound helicopters shall be cleared to route via Thane and Vihar Lake at 700 FT.

vi. All inbound helicopters to land on RWY 34 at Juhu, whenever RWY in use at Mumbai is 14/32

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

i. Operators intending to operate prior to 0730 IST in the Morning to file flight plan on the previous day with JUHU ATC for departure and intimate in writing for arrival to JUHU.

ii. Parking allotted on first come first served basis. Apron space in ONGC, UHPL, GLOBAL VECTRA, BFC aprons also will be utilized by ATC, depending upon vacancy and demand.

iii. Pilots to exercise caution due to tall trees on the final approach of RWY 26.

iv. For non JUHU based operations, 48 hours’ prior notice due to limited parking space availability.

v. RWY 08/26 available for helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. RWY 16/34 available only for helicopter operations.

vi. Pilots to exercise caution due nuisance/menace from birds and dogs.
