AD 2.20

LOCAL AERODROME REGULATIONS

1. All scheduled and non-scheduled operators to ensure strict compliance that no photography/videography is permitted of the airfield during enroute, landing, taxiing and take-off. Crew to make appropriate announcements before approach, landing as

well as during boarding for passengers.

2. Airfield will not be available on 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesday of every month for fixed wing aircraft operations from 0830 - 1530 UTC due planned maintenance activity.

3. Civil fixed wing operations are permitted only from 0300-1530 UTC on all days except above mentioned maintenance period.

4. First touchdown of civil flights at Jammu airfield shall be only at or after 0300 UTC.

5. All aircraft to line up following the turn pad taxi line marked by std yellow taxi line on Dumbbell 36 and carry out free 180 deg turn only.

6. No aircraft shall carry out pivotal turn or wheel locking turn on any part of runway or taxiway to avoid surface erosion.

7. All aircraft after landing will be backtracking on runway due to non-availability of parallel taxiway.

8. All turns at turn pad 36 and turn pad 18 shall be clockwise.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

1. Taxiways on eastern side connecting to runway commencing from dumbbell 36 are designated as TWY A, TWY B, TWY C, TWY D, TWY E, TWY F. Taxiways on western side connecting runway is designated as TWY Z.

2. Link between TWY D and TWY F is designated as TWY P1.

3. Link between TWY F and TWY C is designated as TWY P2.

4. Link to the new dispersal on eastern side of runway is designated as TWY P3.

5. The taxiway from TWY C to intersection of TWY B/TWY C is designated as TWY P4

6. Pushback facility available for stand numbers 1, 2 and 3.

7. Markings of some obstructions in and around airfield may be non-standard.

8. Pilots to exercise caution for three antenna masts in NE direction, height 90 FT/90 FT/110 FT, distance 120 FT/295 FT/900 FT and bearing 008 DEG/015 DEG/099 DEG from ARP respectively.

9. All aircraft to avoid overflying the area bounded by 324002N 0745748E, 323947N 0745726E, 323920N 0745652E, 323935N 0745654E, location 105 DEG 10.5 KM from Jammu Airport. If overflying is unavoidable, no aircraft to overfly the explosive area at a height less than 900 M.

10. No aircraft to cross the sound barrier at an altitude/distance less than 900 M over/near explosive area.

viii. Tawi Field Firing Range active throughout the year, during day and night.
