LOCAL AERODROME REGULATIONS

1. AIRCRAFT PARKING AND PUSH BACK PROCEDURES

 

i. All aircraft stands are power in/pushback

ii. Stand no.1, 2, 3, 7, 11, 12 and13 for code-C or lesser type of aircraft (wing span less than 36m and length less than

45m)

iii. Stand no.6 for code C or lesser type of aircraft wing span less than 36m and length less than 45m and shall be used as

remote stand only

iv. Stand 4 and 8 are for A300-600 or lesser type of aircraft (wing span less than 45m and length less than 55m). A300-600

or other code-D aircraft to stand no.4 shall taxi in/taxi out via TWY A only and shall be pushed back to left side so as to

take left turn into TWY A. A300-600 or other code-D aircraft to stand 8 shall taxi-in/taxi-out via TWY B only.

v. Stand 5 is for B757-300 or lesser type of aircraft (wing span less than 39m and length less than 55m) B757-300 or other

code-D aircraft to stand no. 5 shall taxi-in/taxi-out via TWY A only and shall be pushed back to left side so as to take

left turn into TWY A.

vi. Stand 10 for code-D or lesser type of aircraft (wing span less than 52m and length less than 62m). If stand 9 and 12A

are occupied by code-E aircraft, then stand no.10 to be allotted to code-C aircraft only.

vii. Stand 5A is for code-E or lesser type of aircraft (wing span less than 65m and length less than 75.5m) and shall be

allotted only when stand no. 4 and 5 are vacant. Aircraft to stand 5A shall taxi-in and pushback to runway via TWY A

only.

viii. Stand 9 for code-E or lesser type of aircraft (wing span less than 65m and length less than 75.5m) and shall be allotted

only when stand no. 7 and 8 are vacant. Aircraft to stand 9 shall taxi-in and pushback to runway via TWY B only.

ix. Stand 12A for code-E or lesser type of aircraft (wing span less than 65m and length less than 75.5m) and shall be

allotted only when stand 11 and 12 are vacant and stand no.10 is occupied by code-C aircraft. Aircraft to stand 12A

shall taxi-in and pushback to runway via TWY C only.

x. Aircraft from stand no. 1 shall pushback facing west to taxi-out via TWY A and aircraft from stand no.13 shall

pushback facing east or as instructed by ATC.

2. Intersection Take-off from RWY 10/28 Not permitted.

3. All aircrafts to strictly follow Taxi guidelines for 180 DEG turn on RWY turn pads to avoid damages to the pavement.

4. No Aircraft shall take lock turn/ pivotal turn on the Runway to avoid pavement damage.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

1. Details of aircraft stands available at Calicut International Airport:

i. AVDGS available for Stands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5A, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 12A and 13.

ii. Passenger Boarding Bridge provided for Stands no. 4, 5, 5A, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 12A and 13

iii. For further details refer aircraft Parking/Docking Chart.

2.The aerodrome is licensed for use in IFR (all weather) condition. Aircraft operator to ensure that pilot in command/flight

crew, operating flights to/from Calicut during night have sufficient experience in terms of flying hours as well as experience

of day operation at Calicut aerodrome. In addition, all approaches in the night must be initiated with an IAL procedure only.

3.Details of TWY C: Location: PARL to and to the eastern side of TWY 'B' connecting RWY and APN at an angle of 90

DEG.TWY 'C'AVBL for code 'E' ACFT and lesser type. H-24, trapezoidal turning pad on southern side of RWY28 beginning

AVBL. PCN 55/F/A/X/T. shoulders 10.5M. Semicircular turning pad on the northern side of RWY28 beginning not usable.

4. RWY end light to indicate RWY 28 and RWY 10 end provided in the form of inset RWY end light.

5. Commissioning of ADS-B at Calicut Airport

9. On recommendation of aircraft accident investigation bureau (AAIB), DGCA has imposed the following restrictions on

aircraft operations :

a) Aerodrome operating minima for all Code C operations is set as RVR/VIS 1600 m for ILS approaches and 2400 m for

VOR approaches.

b) No aircraft on apron taxiway and no push back if runway is in use for take-off/landing.

 

Exemption Granted by DGCA:

DGCA India has granted exemption vide letter dated 08.09.2022 for non-compliant width of runway strip against provisions in CAR Section 4, Series B, part I, Para 3.4.3 for the period up to 07.09.2025.
