AD 2.20

LOCAL AERODROME REGULATIONS

1. STAND ALLOTMENT PROCEDURES:

i. Airlines operator shall coordinate for parking bays with ATC Tower for their aircraft.

ii. The allotment of parking bay shall be done by Duty Officer Control Tower.

iii. Allotment of parking bays including PBB shall be normally done on first come first serve basis.

iv. Aircrafts will be allotted stand no. 06 to 11 as mentioned in PDC.

v. As far as practicable, last minute changes of allotted parking bay shall be avoided.

2. TAXIING PROCEDURES (From/To Runway):

i. TWY ‘G’ is available for entry to Apron and TWY ‘F’ is available for exit from Apron only.

ii. After landing, aircraft will back track RWY and vacate RWY via TWY ‘G’ and go straight and follow Taxi guidelines for

parking at Bay No. 11.

iii. After landing, aircraft will back track RWY and vacate RWY via TWY ‘G’, turn left at the end of TWY ‘G’ to follow taxi

guidelines for parking at Bay No. 6 to 10.

iv. All departure aircraft will turn left and then follow taxi guidelines to enter RWY via TWY ‘F’.

3. PUSH BACK PROCEDURE:

i. Stand 11: For Runway 18/36 aircraft shall pushback following yellow guidelines facing north and pull forward till abeam

stand 11 and start-up.

ii. Stand 06 to 10: For Runway 18/36 aircraft shall pushback following yellow guidelines facing north till abeam respective

stands and start-up.

iii. Following cautions shall be taken during push back.

a) Simultaneous push back shall not be permitted.

b) Start up shall be given only after completion of push back with all necessary ground precautions.

c) Startup while pushing back shall not be allowed. Push back supervisor (airline staff) shall supervise during pushback

for all necessary ground precautions and safe separations from ground equipment, vehicles, personnel or any other

object on apron. Push back supervisor (Airline staff) will also supervise during start up and taxiing of aircraft till it

takes the turn for TWY ‘F’.

4. Visual Circling west of runway is not permitted due close proximity of Bangladesh border.

5. No Aircraft shall take lock turn/ pivotal turn on the Runway to avoid pavement damage.

ADS-B ground station at Agartala in OPR. ADS-B based ATS Surveillance services are provided to suitably equipped

aircraft on opportunity basis within the coverage area of Agartala ADS-B sensors in the jurisdiction of Agartala Approach

Control daily BTN 0530-0830 and 0930-1230. ADS-B equipped aircraft flying within the jurisdiction of Agartala Aproach

Control to comply wth relevant provisions.

i. Wind Direction Indicator for RWY 18/36 is lighted.

ii. Obstruction relating RWY 18 due ILS installed. Locator Hut height 5.9 ft above RWY end level indication 670 ft south of

the beginning of RWY 36.

iii. GP hut height 17 ft above RWY level. Location 1306 ft from the beginning of RWY 18 and 400 ft from the Centre line of

RWY. Obstruction are marked. GP antenna height 39 ft offset distance from RWY centreline 366 ft distance from RWY 18

end threshold 789 ft erected. Obstruction light provided.

iv. New Installation TV Tower is provided with OBST LGT. Location A/D (Arundhati) Nagar 234800N 0911612E. Arial

distance from Airport 13KM. GND/134.75M.

v. Three mast lights of height 16.5M have been installed east of the apron for stand no.3, 4 and 5.

vi. ADS-B ground station at Agartala in operation. ADS-B based ATS surveillance services are provided to suitably equipped

aircraft on opportunity basis within the coverage area of Agartala ADS-B sensors in the jurisdiction of Agartala Approach

Control daily between 0530-0830 and 0930-1230. ADS-B equipped aircraft flying within the jurisdiction of Agartala

Approach Control to comply with relevant provisions.

vii. Exemption Granted by DGCA:

DGCA India has granted exemption vide letter dated 30.08.2022 for non-compliant width of runway strip against

provisions in CAR Section-4 Series-B Part-1 Para 3.4.3 for the period up to 31.12.2023.
